2016 Caribbean and African Reading List

2016 I want to read more books from the Caribbean, books that are set in the region and more importantly books written by authors from the Caribbean or from within the Caribbean Diaspora. I am also interested in reading more African literature. 

My first book for 2016 is A Brief History of Seven Killings by Marlon James

I picked up A History of Seven Killings for my Christmas present to myself and I am really looking forward to reading it. James’ John Crow’s Devil is one of my favourite books. 

Throughout January I will search for more books from the Caribbean to add to my 2016 reading list.
